HP Smart Tank 7301 Offline issue
Windows 10
- Power up the Windows device and press the start button.
- Open the Settings menu and choose Printers and Devices.
- A list of printers will appear. Choose HP Smart Tank 7301 from the list.
- Right-click on the HP Smart Tank and choose the mode the printer should be set on.
- Select Set as Default from the menu. The printer will indicate that it is online.
- Following this, restart the printer and add it to the Windows device.
Windows 7, 8
- Power up the HP Smart Tank 7301 printer and choose the start option.
- Open the Settings option and choose Printer and Driver.
- Choose the HP Smart Tank 7301 printer from the list and right-click.
- The HP Smart Tank 7301 printer should be set as the default printer.
- On right-clicking, a pop-up menu will appear. Select the option Set as Default.
- This will bring the printer back online. Note that the printer icon will be highlighted.
- Restart the HP Smart Tank 7301 and continue using it again.
MAC
- Turn on the Mac device and allow it to remain idle.
- Make sure there is an active wireless connection the printer can connect to.
- Check if the printer is set as the default printer. If it is not, the changes have to be made immediately.
- Proceed further to choose the wireless connection. Check if the printer and the device are on the same connection.
- Following this, ensure the printer driver is updated. If there is an update available, complete it.
- Do the same for the Mac device. If there is an update available, complete it.
- As a final step, restart the printer and the device, and it should be back online.
HP Smart Tank 7301 scanning error
Windows
- Power up the Windows PC and check if there are any connectivity issues.
- Ensure there is an active wireless connection that the printer can connect to.
- The printer and the device must be connected to the same wireless connection.
- Check for a printer driver update. If there is an update for the HP Smart Tank 7301 driver, complete it.
- Do the same for the device as well. If there is an update for the printer software, complete it at once.
- Restart the printer and check if the scanning error still prevails.
- If there is, check the document settings and contact us.
Mac
- Turn on the HP Smart Tank 7301 and the Mac device.
- If there are any errors on the screen, make sure the errors are rectified.
- Check if there is an active wireless connection. The wireless connection should be stable.
- Ensure the printer and the device is connected to the same wireless connection.

- Allow it to remain idle for a few minutes and connect the printer.

HP Smart Tank 7301 printer driver unavailable
- If the printer and the device are turned on, begin by restarting them.
- Allow it to remain idle and connect the printer and the device back on.
- Ensure an active connection that the printer and the driver can connect to.
- Check the HP Smart Tank 7301 printer driver. If there is an available update, complete it at once.
- Do the same for the device as well. Make sure the device is updated at once.
- If there continues to be an error after the update, remove the printer driver.
- Uninstall the printer driver and download the HP Smart Tank 7301 printer driver.

HP Smart Tank 7301 printer Will Not Connect to Wi-Fi

- When the device shoots a print command to the printer, there could be an issue.
- To rectify this error, the ongoing print jobs should be removed.
- Click the printer icon visible on the right bottom corner of the screen.
- It will give you a list of print jobs to be printed.
- Select all the files, and delete them.
- Restart the HP Smart Tank 7301 printer and continue to use it.
MAC – Restart the router and printer
- If the device and the HP Smart Tank 7301 are already powered up, restart it.
- Move over to Mac and choose the Apple icon and scroll further down.
- Restart it by choosing it. The device will automatically switch off.
- Move over to the printer and press and hold the power button down.
- This will allow the HP Smart Tank 7301 printer to restart.
- Give the printer and the device a few minutes to power up again.

Check for driver issue
- Check if there are any alerts on the printer. If there is, rectify it immediately.
- Ensure an active wireless connection that the HP Smart Tank 7301 can connect to.
- Move over to the Settings app and make the HP Smart Tank 7301 the default printer.
- Check the printer driver. If an update is available, the printer driver will have to be updated at once.
- Following this, the same has to be done for the device. It has to be updated.
- If the issue continues with the printer and the device, uninstall the HP Smart Tank 7301 driver and complete the installation.
